As government guidelines have changed over time, we've adapted, taking the best advice available, making sure that we minimise risks and follow best practice while trying to maintain those important relationships, friendships, support for one another, and times of shared worship both through small groups and corporate gathering times - whether digital or 'in person'. We still have plenty of opportunity to support, encourage and lift one another up, and support our neighbours and local community during these times, and in lots of ways we previously couldn't!
We love to hear people share stories, sing some songs, tussle with some scripture pray and have a bit of fun - (I'm fairly sure) we're easy to get along, we love new faces and are pretty informal.
We've had some really special gatherings in the last bit of time, on 'Zoom' and 'in person' at the The Forest Estate Community Hub (inside and out) - we're all looking forward to seeing more of the creativity that has already been released in so many ways!
*On weeks we meet in person
we have been meeting outside where weather permits, as this allows us more freedom and we get to enjoy the sunshine! We do, however, have the option to meet inside and will do so if the weather is poor, so please do bring a mask with you. These meetings start at 10:30am
and there is also an option to join us via Zoom (see link below).
*On weeks we're meeting on Zoom
(see link) we're meeting at 10:30am
with our prayer time taking place from 10:15
. Unless indicated on the timetable below, there will also be the option to join in the Zoom meeting as part of a small gathering/ 'watch party' at the Hub.
We'd love to have you join us!
Here's the Zoom link for all our gatherings (no password): https://us02web.zoom.us/j/6866283015
(Meeting ID: 686 628 3015)

We're excited for what the future holds, especially as we transition towards more freedom in the ways we gather! Our hope is that by the end of June, our Sunday gathering times are primarily in person, but we'd also like to continue to make provision for folk to join with us on Zoom in a really meaningful, interactive way - we do hope you'll join us as we worship God together, share stories, grapple with scripture, pray, learn and laugh together!
If you'd like say hi, or have any questions, please do drop us a line at: email@example.com and we'll get in touch with you.
(see above for current details)
One of the best ways to get to know The Journey is to join us one Sunday for our morning gathering or once a month for our community lunch.
Our Sunday Gatherings are from 10.30am to 12:15pm at, The Forest Estate Community Hub, 57 Larchwood Drive, Englefield, Green TW20 0SL. Everyone is welcome no matter where they are on their journey of faith, their age or personal circumstances. We start with refreshments at 10:30 until 10:45 and then have a relaxed meeting which includes musical worship led by a band, practical and relevant teaching from the Bible, opportunities for prayer, and sharing stories of what God has been doing in our lives. We end at 12:15 with more refreshments. From time to time we do something different from the norm and explore faith in a creative way – details are published ahead of time. Our meetings are appropriate for both those who are looking to grow their faith in Jesus and those exploring what faith is. Children are an important part of our church family, so we also provide activities for them to help them to learn about who God is and how they can interact with him.
(Spring term leaflet coming soon)
For details of what we have going on over the next few months, click here to look at our termly leaflet.
(Unfortunately, until further notice, our community lunches are on hold - we are, however, keeping an eye on restrictions and hope to return when possible, so watch this space!)
On the first Sunday of each month we have a free community lunch from 12.45 to 2:15 to which all are welcome. There is no requirement to attend the service beforehand - just turn up for the lunch.
During August there are smaller, more informal Sunday gatherings at the Community Hub and a full programme of social activities published nearer to the time.
Once a term River's four churches meet together for an inspiring celebration called River Together. This meeting, held at different venues throughout the year, runs from 10:30 to 12:30 and typically includes Worship, Bible teaching and prayer ministry. It also includes a full programme of activities for 0 to 16 year olds.
