Associate Leader, River Church Marlow

River Church Marlow, a dynamic charismatic church in the Thames Valley, is looking to recruit a full-time associate leader to join our leadership team. This is an exciting opportunity for an aspiring leader to play a pivotal role in the life and growth of the Church. Working with youth and young adults in the church and wider community, we are looking for an energetic and creative leader who is able to build something new.

This is a new role that the current leadership team views as a major investment in the future of the church.

  • Lead all expressions of church for youth and young adults.
  • Lead all aspects of outreach for youth and young adults in the local community.
  • To be part of the River Church Marlow Leadership team.
  • Lead church gatherings and speaking responsibilities as required.

To be successful you will already have a proven record of leadership of children, youth or young adults and or wider church leadership experience. You will have the openness and creativity to explore relevant new expressions of outreach, discipleship and spiritual formation. We are also looking for someone who wants to grow in their own spiritual journey, their theological understanding and in their leadership skills.

You will enjoy good support as a member of the Marlow Leadership Team and we will tailor a package of personal development with access to church and marketplace leaders.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week (part-time will be considered)
Work base: Home and Community based in Marlow
Salary: £31,600 - £35,550 starting point based on experience
Annual leave: 25 days (plus bank holidays)
Reports to: Leader of River Church Marlow

Youth Worker, River Church Maidenhead

At River Church we love God and we love the young people in our town. We’re looking for someone who feels the same to come and join our staff team as a dedicated Youth Worker. 

We're excited to bring someone onto our team to:

  • Build a vibrant, fun and loving youth community that develops mature disciples of Jesus.
  • Foster and grow relationships within our local community, providing meaningful encounters with Jesus.
  • Provide strategic leadership and setting a vision and a culture for River Maidenhead's youth.

Hours of work: 24 hours a week

Salary: £28,119 - £35,148 P/A pro-rata based on experience

Leader, The Journey 

The Journey is a church based in Englefield Green. We're a friendly and dynamic community committed to loving and serving Jesus, each other, Royal Holloway University, the village of Englefield Green and beyond. We are a part of a community of four churches in the local area all of whom belong to the River Church Trust. The Journey operates The Hub, a community outreach project in the heart of Englefield Green. 
 
Job Title: The Journey Church Leader
Location: The Hub, Englefield Green, Egham
Terms: 1.5 days (12-15 hours) per week ongoing
Salary: £10k-£12k (£12.80-£15 per hr) depending on experience
Reports to: The Trustees of River Church
 
The Role
  • To build a vibrant, fun and loving church community that develops mature disciples of Jesus and is focused on bringing the kingdom of heaven to Englefield Green
  • To foster and grow relationships within the community with the aim of providing meaningful encounters with Jesus and helping them on their spiritual journey
  • To provide strategic leadership and set vision and culture in The Journey, that fits within the vision, strategy and values of the River Church Trust as a whole
  • To engage and grow relationships with staff and students of the Royal Holloway University of London, local churches, agencies and authorities
  • To ensure best practice and safeguarding procedures are adopted and enhanced for the good of all: creating a “culture of excellence” at The Journey
  • To provide management, support and oversight to the Hub manager
