This year in our family-friendly meetings (on the first Sunday of every month) we'll be looking at the fruit of the Spirit. Jonny continues the series, this time looking at Joy.

Jonny speaks about the message of the Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl in Matthew 13, and what they tell us about how much God loves us.

Perseverance requires repetition, it means not easing up even when we don’t see results, and persevering makes us stronger. Jonny challenges us about whether there are areas of our life in which we need to persevere (more): is there a project that's incomplete, or a relationship that's been neglected? Have we stopped praying for someone because of unanswered prayer, or promised to help them but never actually got round to doing so?

Jonny encourages us to share Jesus from the heart. And let's be kind not just to one another and the people to whom we are close, but even to those who we disagree with.

"We can’t earn it, we can’t learn it, we need to burn for it! Let's continue to ask for healing and practise this wonderful gift we've been given.

Along with a relevant and very personal testimony Jonny uses the example of Jesus healing the woman with long-term bleeding to show that God is interested not just in healing, but just as importantly He also wants to build relationship with us and to address our emotional needs.

Jonny reminds us that the key message of Christmas is "Peace On Earth", including an inspiring picture she recently created on this theme.

Jonny urges us to invite the Holy Spirit to make us bold to share our faith at His prompting, because what we carry is way too special to keep to ourselves.
