Everyone believes in something...

God. Angels. Fairies. Being a good person. Putting family first. Living life to the max. We all believe in something.

Here are just a few of the things that we believe in, here at River Church:
  • The Goodness of God – God is good. He loves giving good gifts and everything good ultimately comes from Him. (Matthew 7:11)
  • The Openness of God – God is open and relational. He wants to guide your decisions, not force you to make pre-determined choices. (Psalm 48:14)
  • The Love of God – God is, above all else, love. He loves before he does anything else. He loves you – full stop. (1 John 4:7-12)
  • The Dynamic Power of God – God is dynamically and creatively powerful. He loves to do the impossible and change the unchangeable. (Ephesians 3:20)

Our Aims

We believe River Church becomes an inspiration when we all aim to:
  • Look on the face of Christ
  • Love everyone we meet
  • Live like Heaven is near

Looking On The Face of Christ

Jesus is our source of life, our hope and inspiration.  The Bible tells us we are transformed from glory to glory as we look upon His face and we become all we were created to be.  He is the beginning and the end, so this is where we start and finish. We all need to encounter Jesus.

Loving Everyone We Meet

Love originates in God, was made known to us by Jesus and brought to fullness as we love one another.  The reason we were created was to fill the earth with love.  In loving one another we make the invisible God visible!  We owe everyone an encounter with love.

Living Like Heaven Is Near

The Good News that Jesus brought was “The Kingdom of Heaven is near!”  He demonstrated that by healing the sick, driving out demons and accepting those who were rejected by society.  We have been commissioned by Jesus and empowered by the Holy Spirit to continue that work to see brokenness mended and captives set free. Therefore, we encourage one another to dare to believe that we can do what Jesus said we would do.  We owe everyone a power-full encounter with the God who loves them.
