     transforms, inspires, releases

DAY IGNITE@River is a one year training programme based at River Church, Thames Valley giving men and women of all ages and backgrounds the opportunity to encounter God's passion for humanity. It will transform who you are as a person, empowering you to walk into your calling with greater confidence and authority in order to bring transformation into churches, businesses, cities and even nations.  You will be mentored by experienced leaders, inspired by powerful teaching and given exposure to exciting kingdom opportunities including church planting.

IGNITE@River is part of a nationwide training initiative of the Pioneer Network. It is currently held in 8 locations around the UK and is growing rapidly, helped by the Pioneer Connexion with the Methodist Church www.pioneerconnexion.com. There are plans for more IGNITEs not only in this nation but abroad.

IGNITE will:

  • INSPIRE Understanding – believing GOD IS who He says that He is
  • TRANSFORM Character – believing I AM who God says that I am
  • RELEASE Spiritual Authority – believing WE CAN do what God says we can do
This is achieved through training, mentoring and ministry opportunities.

The programme for 2016/2017

The training takes place on a Monday (9am to 5pm) each week and runs over three terms with a 'Reading Week' in the middle of each term. There will also be 'revival trips' one Saturday each term which are visits to a location where God has moved powerfully in the past (e.g. Moriah Chapel and the Welsh Revival).

There are also other opportunities for development available e.g. Kairos cross cultural missions course and HeartLife.

The dates are as follows:
  • Term 1: 12 September 2016 to 12 December 2016 inclusive
    Reading Week - 24 October 2015
  • Term 2: 9 January 2017 to 27 March 2017 inclusive
    Reading Week - 13 February 2017
  • Term 3: 24 April 2017 - 10 July 2017 inclusive
    Reading week - 29 May 2017
Course Fees  - The cost of the course is £850 for the whole year. You are required to bring a deposit of £85 to your interview, which will be refunded if you are not successful in obtaining a place. Fees can either be paid up front each term or by equal monthly instalments.

Travel - The fees do not include the costs of overseas missions, living costs, additional courses or conferences and UK travel (e.g. revival trips, probably £20 a trip).

Ministry Opportunity - Each student will be given the opportunity to be placed in an environment in which they can put into practice what they have learnt in the training and also grow in their unique gift and calling.

Mentoring - Each student is put into a group to strengthen the learning experience and personal development. Where possible, each group will have a mix of ages, gender and experience and will meet regularly. Each student will be assigned a mentor who they will meet with at least once each half term.

Assignments and Presentations - Each term there will be a piece of written or creative work and a presentation set for students. The aim is to foster the growth of each individual rather than simply assess written, creative and presentation skills.

Reading Weeks - These coincide with school half term breaks and allow an opportunity to read the recommended books. For each book, students will be required to write a short review which is discussed in the group and handed to one of the team.

An Audience With... - Once every half term a Monday evening will be set aside to enjoy a meal together and hear the story of a guest and learn from them what it means to follow Jesus through the good and hard times.

Conferences - You will have an opportunity to participate in at least one 'mini-conference' which will fit the course teaching and be open to all those who are keen to be part of the learning experience. There will also be an IGNITE conference when all IGNITEs around the country meet together.

Location of Training - The training will be at Windsor Hall, Ruddlesway, Windsor SL4 5SJ

Applications need to be submitted by 13th July 2016 - late entries will only be considered if there are still places available.
