Impacting marlow and Beyond

As a church we run or actively support the following initiatives which aim to care for and bless our community:
  • Messy Church - A fun way of doing church.... aimed at children up to the age of 11 and their parents or carers, involving 45 minutes of craft activities, 15 minutes for some songs, a story and prayers .... and then a meal together. Run by a team from River and other CTiM churches.
  • LighthouseLighthouse – for well over 20 years from 1989 we ran the annual River Church holiday week in July for local junior school age children. It was hugely popular and incredibly rewarding. Since 2013 our energies have been focused on supporting Lighthouse Marlow, a similar but larger event which is run by a huge team comprising people from many/most of the Marlow Churches. More information.
  • YouthclubYouth Clubs - we run clubs for two age groups each week in term time at the Marlow Youth & Community Centre. They are both held on Thursday evenings: from 6.30-8.00pm for school years 6-8, and from 8.00-9.30pm for years 9+. We'd love to hear from you if you know anyone who might like to come along either to attend or to help run these evenings.
  • RiverlifeRiverlife is a weekly mums (or dads) and toddlers group held at Marlow Youth and Community Centre on Wednesday mornings. All are welcome to pop in for a brew, a chat and some thoroughly delicious cake. More information.
  • WhyCome runs in High Wycombe on a monthly basis. It is a hot lunch and a get-together for local homeless people, where they can pick up clean clothes and toiletries, and also listen to live music and a talk. More information.
  • Serving free drinks at Marlow's Santa's Fun Run
