Congregations
River Church is one church with several congregations, each of which has its own distinctives and 'flavour'. Each Sunday the congregations in Maidenhead, Marlow and Slough meet at 10.30am whilst The Journey congregation in Englefield Green, which has a major focus on the local student population, meets at 3.00pm.
Our meetings include worship, teaching, prayer, and activities for children and young people. The atmosphere and style of worship is relaxed and informal. We believe that the power of God is present as we gather, and there will always be an opportunity to receive prayer for any need you may have.
Congregational areas are divided into Neighbourhoods, and Neighbourhood Group Leaders take responsibility for their 'patch' - gathering people together for lunches, organising events and so on. Each congregation also has a variety of small groups that meet during the week for friendship, learning, mutual support, prayer, food...!
