Churches Together in Marlow

River Church is an active member of Churches Together in Marlow. Representatives from the many churches in the town meet together regularly to exchange information and plan various joint events:

  • CTM organises a Walk of Witness and Open service on Good Friday each year.
  • During the Week of Prayer for Christian Unity various joint prayer times are held, as is a popular mid-week evening meal ("Unity Supper")
  • The CTM prayer group is open to all. It meets once a month on the second Saturday - 9-10.00am St Mary's Marlow Bottom.
  • CTM runs "Tiddlywinks", a group for toddlers and carers, on Monday mornings at Marlow Methodist Church
  • A regular short service is conducted at the Marlow Community Hospital  and at Aubrey Ward House by members of Marlow Churches.

CTM supported the starting up of a Youth SVP (Society of St Vincent de Paul) Group in Marlow. Currently around 15 young people meet on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 7pm in the All Saint's Church Hall. The group are involved in various projects to help those in the local community, for example by visiting the elderly and helping others less able than themselves. They are also involved in supporting the Marlow London Run, a volunteer group who go to central London every Tuesady evening taking food, clothes, toiletries and friendship to street people.
