Slough Celebration/Healing Meeting

Friday 12th October saw our second Celebration/Healing Meeting at The Westgate School.  Christen Forster led the evening with some terrific worship led by Paul Lane and the musicians and then intoduced Florence Peters and Jonathan Davies who both shared testimonies of God's wonderful healing power. Dawn Tagg also read a great scripture.

Derek Brown from the KC21 Network then ministered in a remarkably relaxed and informal way, discarding his notes, and following the Holy Spirit's prompting to address a loss of hope and  emotional hurts. Many stood in response to his call to find release and fresh vision, and Derek senstively prophesied and ministered to the folk that responded. Christen then invited folk to come for physical healing and Derek and his team together with River Church's own ministry team prayed for everyone who came forward.

Just over 70 folk came, including a small number of visitors, all of whom were deeply affected by the meeting. The challenge for me related to what sort of Church we would plant in Slough. Would it be a reflection of what we've done before, good as that may be, or would it be the body that reflects the life that we see in Jesus?

There was more evidence of angelic activity recorded in digital photo's taken by myself and John Sandeman - can you spot the orbs of light in some of the photo's?
