the dunking 2006

The Journey hosted a baptism for Aimee at the end of the Summer on Sunday 17th September 2006.

Over 40 people gathered for the dunking with friends and family all involved.  During the afternoon in a picturesque gardens setting we sung worship, heard Aimee's story, a talk on baptism from Colin Barnes, gathered round the pool to see Aimee get dunked and prayed for her afterwards.  The day ended with a big Bar-Bee-Que and opportunity for a game of snnoker or a swim.

Jesus' baptism was before his three year ministry with his disciples began - and God affirmed him with "this is my son whom I am well pleased with!" before he'd done anything. Baptism as a celebration event is a symbolic, yet prophetic act of faith in Jesus, we encourage you to speak to one of the team if you are a Christian and not yet been dunked.
