A reminder of God’s healing power…

For the past three years, I have had a problem with my shoulder, which I caused by bad posture. Throughout that time I underwent many sessions of physiotherapy and acupuncture, which eased the pain in my shoulder in the short term. However, due to the constant dull pain, I unintentionally began to lift my shoulder in an attempt to relieve the pain, which subsequently led to a bending in my spine.

When visiting my acupuncturist last Easter, he was increasingly concerned that what had started off as bad posture had resulted in a bent spine. He therefore referred me to a chiropractor, with the view to having my spine manually bent back into line. I was told that this would take place twice a week for a month, and it was made clear that I would be unable to walk throughout this time due to the pain and would have to be fairly inactive from until at least Christmas.

However, during a service in July at Hope Christian Centre, Pastor Deborah felt led to pray for three people, with varying physical ailments. As she prayed that God wanted to heal a person with a pain in their shoulder going up into their neck, I obviously began to pray myself too!  I felt my shoulder lowered back into realignment.  Being a bit amazed I decided to praise God without being entirely sure of the outcome of what had just happened.  Later that day I was able to confirm that my shoulder had indeed moved.  I’d assumed that the shoulder was healed in terms of being realigned, but that I would still have to have treatment in the summer to bend my spine back.  But I checked this with my doctor to find that my spine was also perfect, meaning no treatment would be required.

Thank you Jesus for your healing power, and Deborah for being obedient to Him!
