Nepal Update July 11
Hallo everyone - here is the latest news from our friends in Nepal. Firstly - Milan is coming to Engalnd again in the summer (27th July) to attend the Revive conference, and will be staying on afterwards for a while. His family will be staying at home this time. And they have now found a new location for their guest house!
Secondly - the main news from Anand in Jiri is the imminent start of the next training course for students. Please read Anand's comments below and join them in praying for the funds for this course. Last year God supplied their needs in time for the start of the course - and He will not let them down this year! Perhaps you could also prayerfully consider how you could be involved in supporting this work.
Milan's News
"We would value your prayers for my journey and time in the UK would be blessed and fruitful. At the same time Shusma and Amishu will be at home in Nepal. My parents and Shusma cousin will be helping them. Shusma is better now and doing fine but still need of prayers. She will take less responsibility at the church but will spend more time at home with Amishu etc when I am away. "Finally, we have found the house for the guest house in Dhobighat. Just 2km away from the present house behind the Central Zoo, Jawalakhel near the Catholic Church. Guest house is moving this week. Thank God we have found the house in the centre. Bikram, (Shusma's brother) who has been working at the guest house since 3 years, and his cousin are going to work for the guest house, which is great relief for us. It is near the town and in the VIP area. "We had a yearly prayer and planning meeting of Aanandit Church and its' ministries for the fiscal year 2011/12. We came up with many plans to move forward. We have 9 Departments now and number of ministries we are involved. God has been faithful and the work has been grown rapidly. Since we have extend the church hall the members also grown larger. Praise God !!!"
Anand's News
"The School is going to open on August 18th 2011 and that lasts for almost 10 months (until June 7th 2012) and includes an outreach of one month. .Now we have ten students fixed for the training and our target is 15. There are many people and churches that are interested in sending the students for the training, but we will have 15, there will be exceptional cases if we have to add some more.
"However, as I have mentioned in my last update of the River of Life Bible School, we do not have fixed fund for the training for the year 2011-2012. But one of our visions is to keep training the Himalayan people to reach out the Himalayas and we thank God that He has been using our students for the purpose of His Kingdom. We are very glad that God gave us the greatest privilege of playing a small part in their lives by training them for His Kingdom. "We have been praying for the financial provision from the Lord for the training program 2011-2012. Although we have not seen any doors opened yet we are going to start the training on the given date. As I have mentioned before, training leaders is a desperate need in our region, and our students are able to plant many churches under His grace. We are still waiting upon God to open the doors for the financial needs. Even if the doors are not opened financially, we are determined that we will start the training in faith as we are given this burden by God. Please pray considerably for the financial provision from God. Please do share with your church family and your friends and all our supporters in the River Church who could be great partners in this Kingdom Work. Please share that here is an opportunity to get involved in missions. We would really appreciate your presence as well, but it is not possible for many. Even if you are not able to come and take part physically, the money that you give generously will impact lives of many in the Himalayas and many people would come to see God's grace and salvation."
Attached here is a very comprehensive report from Anand about the work of HUCFN over the past 6 months. Do print it off to read when you have time. It is always so encouraging to seee how much is being acahieved by these wonderful men of God!
