Fusion Connection

On the weekend of 12-14th November a group of 7 (including 3 students) from The Journey went to the annual national Fusion student leaders weekend. It was held at the YWAM base in Harpenden, near Luton.  The weekend saw 300 student leaders gather from over 20 universities such as Manchester, Liverpool, Sheffield, Loughborough, Cambridge, London and Brighton etc.  Led by the Fusion team (Roger Ellis, Rich Wilson & Jono West) the theme of the weekend was 'the battle' and our time together focused on the mission we are in the midst of at our univerisites.  There was space to encounter God in worship, be prepared through teaching & training, pray for our universities & friends and hang out with students from across the country who are running with the same vision.

Fusion is a student movement seeking to encourage and resource local Church to engage in an effective way with today's students through being culturally present. For more information on the current situation with student mission read the 'wake up to student mission' paper.

The Journey is River's student congregation in Englefield Green seeking to serve Royal Holloway University and build a relevant expression of Church.
