How did you learn about Moscow Evangelical Christian Seminary?
I learned about MECS from my cousin Sergei Voloshin, 2004 graduate of Moscow Evangelical Christian Seminary.
Why did you choose MECS?
I sense the call to serve God. Good minister has to be well educated and trained. My cousin highly recommended MECS as one of the best theological schools of the kind. The level of education, programs, and curriculum provide good and quality theological education. The Seminary has a dormitory and scholarships. Good Russian and English language programs.
What will be your ministry while attending seminary?
My desire is to serve God while attending Seminary as a preacher and assistant to a pastor.
Give a short testimony about how you came to Christ.
I was born in a Christian family, which nowadays is very common in Moldova. My parents have strong faith in God and awesome respect. From my early childhood I used to hear about God, His love and wonderful sacrifice for my sake. Together with them I would attend church services, singing, praying and worshiping together with other believers. At the church I heard, that there is someone who loves me dearly (Jon. 3:16.). Still I can not completely comprehend that verse. How could God give away the most precious He has, His Son for my sake. I am grateful to God for His everlasting, all embracing Love.
I was brought up in a Christian family, in a very conservative household. It helped me to be a good boy, without serious vices. I did not smoke or drink. At the beginning it appeared to be enough. Yet it is impossible to please God without faith. God wanted my faith and trust in Him. This moment came, when I was sixteen. For the first time I experienced the real presence of God in my life as it is described in John. 5:37-40. God came to my life. The Holly Spirit broke my hard heart. I cannot picture my life now without God and His Word. Through His Word I became a believer and now growing and maturing in Him.
What are your plans for future ministry after graduation?
My desire is to serve God, to become His effective tool in the field of evangelism, to be able to bring the Good News about His love and about His Son to those who do not know Him yet. |
