How did you learn about Moscow Evangelical Christian Seminary?

From my pastor.

Why did you choose this Seminary?

God sent me here.

What ministry are you going to have during your studies at the Seminary?

I will participate in worship and evangelize.

How did you become a Christian?

I was born in a Christian catholic family. We visited the church on holidays; we had icons. God seemed to me to be fearful and punish people for everything. I understood very early that I wouldn’t get to the Kingdom of Heaven because of my sins. That’s why I believed that it didn’t matter if I committed many or few sins. But as I had some serious problems, I began searching for God, hoping that not everything would be lost. I started visiting the Orthodox Church and meditating on God.

And once I had a very strange dream, as if I were in the temple. Everything was black around me. There were frightful icons, as if I were at the cemetery. I was terrified and with all my heart cried, “Lord, what should I do?” Suddenly somebody touched my shoulders and turned me 180 degrees and I saw a door burning with an unusual fire and shining. I was very glad, somebody pushed me and I flew into the door and woke up. I thought about this all the time.

Later my friend from the polar region came to visit me. She was a Christian and worked as a helpmate for the pastor. God gave her wisdom about how and what to explain to me, because at that moment I was a very religious person. When she was reading the Bible to me, her face was shining and it amazed me greatly. She suggested that I repent of my sins and accept the good news of Jesus in my heart. I had no idea that Jesus wanted to live in my heart. I also opened the Bible for myself, which I hadn’t previously done. Then my friend left  and told me to ask Jesus personally all my questions. I've become a very happy person because I can talk to God and He – to me. Hallelujah!

What are your plans after graduation from the Seminary?

I want to serve God and evangelize everywhere, where people will be glad to listen to me.
